The rose water produced as a by-product during steam distillation of rose oil is preserved with sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate. The pH value is therefore also slightly acidic with citric acid. Its anti-inflammatory, refreshing but also soothing effect has been known since ancient times and is the reason for the wide use of rose water. It is suitable for all skin types, whether it is incorporated as part of the water phase in creams and lotions or used purely as a facial toner.
 
Organic Rose Water:
This special rose water is not a byproduct of rose oil production - each liter of this (alcohol-free) rose water is distilled from 1 kg of fresh rose blossoms from certified organic cultivation. Its lush, beguiling rose scent makes it a very beautiful and soothing skin care product. It is suitable for all skin types - pure as a spray or toner or as a component of a cream. Likewise, rose water is highly recommended for moisture-deficient, as well as cracked, inflamed skin and sore baby bottoms. It also soothes itchy insect bites and irritated eyes (put cotton pads soaked in rose water on the eyes).
