The plum kernel oil is obtained by mechanical pressing from the kernels of plums from controlled organic cultivation. This mild, lightly marzipan-scented, versatile base oil for all skin types is particularly suitable for baby care and sensitive, dry skin. Due to its high content of oleic acid, plum seed oil is easily absorbed and promotes the penetration of cosmetic active ingredients into the skin. The linoleic acid content of plum seed oil supports regenerative processes of the skin and can thus help to reduce transepidermal water loss (TEWL). Plum kernel oil is rich in natural vitamin E (gamma-tocopherol) and therefore shows high oxidation stability.
