Glyceryl Caprylate (GMCY) is a multifunctional cosmetic raw material that has a moisturizing, moisture-regulating, and biologically stabilizing effect. It has excellent skin compatibility and a remarkable effect against yeasts and bacteria. Thanks to its amphiphilic character, glyceryl monocaprylate can be incorporated into both the oil and water phases. A pH value of 5-7 is recommended for the finished formulation. Glyceryl Caprylate (GMCY) is Ecocert certified and is used in many products declared as preservative-free.
 
Tip: 
The solid has a melting range of 30-35°C and can therefore be easily liquefied in a water bath for dosing.
